It’s Wednesday again and so it must be time for WWW Wednesday. This is one of my favourite memes and I love taking part in it and reading everybody else’s posts. It’s currently hosted by Sam and it can be found on her blog Taking on a world of words which can be found here. The idea of WWW Wednesday is just to answer three questions about what you are reading, have just finished and are about to read so here goes for this week.
What are you currently reading?
I have been waiting for this for ages and was so pleased when it turned up at the library last week I love the Inspector Gamache series and am really enjoying this new one. It’s set in the winter of 2020 as countries are emerging from lockdown and is completely absorbing. Louise Penny’s books aren’t books that you can rush through. You need to spend time and read every sentence carefully.
What have you recently finished reading?
I loved Home by Penny Parkes and my review is here. I also really enjoyed Strictly by Julie Wassmer. The books are set by the sea in Whitstable on the South Coast where Pearl Nolan runs a successful restaurant as well as being a part time private detective. A crime series with likeable characters set by the sea ticks lots of boxes for me and this latest one was a good addition to the series.
What do you intend to read next?
The Night of Many Endings by Melissa Payne
I read about this on Carol’s blog here and it sounded brilliant so I bought it on Kindle and have it ready to read next.
After that, as I seem to have survived a whole week without reading a fantasy book, I might have to see what’s next on my Net Galley shelf.
Have you read any of these? What did you think?
I have not read any of these, but Home sounds like the best one for me, especially after reading your review.
I think that you would love it X
I have read and loved some Louise Penny. Recently, I bought State of Terror, a book she wrote with Hillary Clinton.
Enjoy your week, and here’s MY WWW POST
I have that on order from the library. I have heard good things about it.
Home has such a lovely cover. I’ve never come across a book set in Whitstable. I’ve visited there and it’s a lovely place. I seem to remember it had a good bookshop which is always a plus.

If you like the cosy crime sort of novel, it’s a lovely series.
I haven’t read any of these but they all look good. The cover for ‘Strictly for Murder’ would have put me off from reading the book but your comments about it have me intrigued. Have a lovely week. Happy reading.
