It’s Wednesday !!!!!!! Wednesday means that it’s time for WWW Wednesday. This is one of my favourite memes and I love taking part in it and reading everybody else’s posts. It’s currently hosted by Sam and it can be found on her blog Taking on a world of words which can be found here.
The idea of WWW Wednesday is just to answer three questions about what you are reading, have just finished and are about to read so here goes for this week.
What I’m currently reading
Devoted in Death by J D Robb
This is the 41st in this series about New York Detective Eve Dallas I saw the series recommended by Lauren and as I’m always on the look out for new detective series to read, I thought I’d try them. This one is about a Bonnie and Clyde type couple who have travelled from Ohio to New York leaving a trail of corpses behind. I’m definitely enjoying it so far. I hadn’t realised that the series was set in the future so finding out that it was supposedly New Year in 2061 threw me a bit.
What I have recently finished reading
The Demon Child Trilogy by Jennifer Fallon
After reading so many new books lately, I felt an urge to revisit somewhere familiar and so over the weekend I binge read one of my favourite fantasy trilogies. I absolutely loved revisiting these books. On a reread, you can remember the basic outline and so can really focus on the details. I still found myself rushing to the end though, even though I knew how it would all turn out.
Give Unto Others by Donna Leon
I also finished this from the library. I always love these Venetian crime stories featuring Guido Brunetti and felt that this new release was one of the better ones of recent years. Reading it has certainly heightened my anticipation for our trip to Venice next month.
What I am intending to read next
No change here as I didn’t get round to reading this last week so it’s still next on my list.
That’s the current state of my reading this week. What does your WWW Wednesday look like?
I’m always intrigued by the J.D. Robb series but then I get intimidated by the size haha
I can’t believe that the “In Death” series is already at #41!
I enjoyed The Mothers. Someday I plan to read J. D. Robb. Enjoy your week, and here’s MY WWW POST
I can’t remember the last time I re-read a book. I’m always tempted by new books.
