Welcome to Wednesday (even though it’s actually Thursday). I meant to post this yesterday but we were later home than we expected so I didn’t get around to it. We’re back home in England after a very hot but lovely trip to Kansas City to visit my daughter who lives there now. We had a great time but I’m really enjoying the cooler temperatures in England. The heat in Kansas was just exhausting.

Wednesday means that it’s time for WWW Wednesday. This is one of my favourite memes and I love taking part in it and reading everybody else’s posts. It’s currently hosted by Sam and it can be found on her blog Taking on a world of words which can be found here.
The idea of WWW Wednesday is just to answer three simple questions about what you are reading, have just finished and are about to read so here goes for this week. As I’ve been on holiday including a couple of flights, I’ve had plenty of time to read.
What I’m currently reading
The Last Blade Priest by W P Wiles
This is an epic fantasy that I began on the flight home last night. It’s a world where the main religion appears to be the worshipping of a mountain. There are supposed to be three focal characters but so far, the book is about two of them, a young priest who is being trained to do human sacrifices and a master builder, son of a traitor. It’s an interesting read so far and I love the world building.
What I have recently finished reading

I really enjoyed all of these which formed part of my holiday reading.
What I am intending to read next
Now I’m back at home, I need to begin reading my pile of library books and this non fiction book is at the top of the stack. .
That’s the current state of my reading this week. What does your WWW Wednesday look like?
Glad you enjoyed your trip Janette. The heat is terrible in our part of the world too. I Belong Here looks good.
I’m so glad you had a nice trip to Kansas to visit your daughter! It gets so hot there in the midwest.
It certainly does😳
I have FORGING SILVER INTO STARS on my physical TBR even though I haven’t read any of the author’s other stuff. How did you like it?
I really enjoyed it. Definitely YA but the characters and scenario were both good
Forging Silver into Stars is on my TBR! I’m glad you got to visit but sucks about the heat. It’s been sooo hot this summer.
I really liked Forging Silver. I hadn’t read any of the previous ones but it didn’t matter
Oh, that’s awesome! I didn’t realize you could read it without the others! Glad you liked it 🙂
The blurb I read said that it was a new trilogy. As I was reading it, I realised that there must be a previous story but I enjoyed this without feeling that I should have read the earlier books
It is hot over here right now. 🥵. I hope you had a good visit despite the heat. You definitely read some great looking books!
I was sorry to say goodbye to my daughter but glad to leave the heat especially when we saw the weather forecast for this week 😎
