It’s been a day of solemn pomp and pageantry with a huge sense of living through history. The uniforms and finely tuned movements mixed with the famous faces and glorious music and the beautiful settings of Westminster Abbey and the chapel at Windsor all added to the sense of occasion as well as a feeling that we will never see anything like this again. Today really was the end of an era
Rest in Peace your majesty
I spend more than half of the day watching and re-watching. Like you say – we will probably never see something like that again. It was beautiful and stately. Definitely a day for the history books.

I only watched highlights, but loved them. She’ll be missed for such a long time.
I got up at 5:00 a.m. so I could watch. It was so beautifully done. I watched the whole thing. The end of an era indeed. May she Rest In Peace.
It was strangely addictive. I didn’t intend to spend quite as much time in front to the TV as I actually did yesterday
I wasn’t planning on watching all morning but I started and couldn’t stop. It was so beautifully done and a very big moment in history. May she Rest in Peace. I can’t imagine what you all are feeling. ❤
I think my feelings are regret for the end of an era. I think that the queen held a lot of things together and we are going to see some things unravel in the next few years.
Yeah, I can see how you feel that way. It’s kind of crazy bc I thought she would live forever. I don’t really know a lot about the Royals and so on but I think I agree with you. Things will kind of unravel and who knows what’s going to happen.
