I haven’t done a Six for Sunday post for ages and ages but it was the first meme that I joined in with when I first started my book blogging journey so I was really pleased that Steph at Alittlebutalot is carrying on with the prompts again. You can read all about Six for Sunday and see the prompts for the first few months of the year here
I love this week’s topic as last year, I read so many brilliant debut novels. The only problem is that I didn’t actually take note of which were debuts and so it’s taken a bit of tracking down but here are six of my favourite debut novels from last year.

There is a real mix here covering all the genres that I love to read but each of them was a fantastic debut.
What were your favourite debut authors of 2022?
I’ve just added The Stardust Thief to my TBR because it sounds so good! My favourite debut authors for last year have to be Neon Yang with The Genesis of Misery and Wendii McIver with Relic and Ruin.
I haven’t heard of either of these. Off to investigate now😀
It would definitely take me some research to figure out which of the books I read were debuts! I haven’t read any of these, but my daughter read Yinka and has been pushing me to give it a try.
I really enjoyed it.
I do a terrible job of tracking which books I read are from debut authors. I want to be better about that this year. I know Lessons in Chemistry was a debut, and I loved it!
I had to go back and look at the bublicity blurb for three of them to check. 😃
Sue Lynn Tan will be on my list too! She’s amazing.
A Lady’s Guide to Fortune-Hunting was one of my favourite debuts too. I’m looking forward to Sophie Irwin’s next book coming this year!
I loved Daughter of the Moon Goddess
I’m glad to hear you loved The Stardust Thief – I’ve been really excited to try that one! 🤗
I loved it and can’t wait for the next one later this year
